How do I clean and care for my Carrie Dunham bags?
If your bag gets scuffed, use a damp cold cloth with mild soap to gently clean the spot. If your bag does not contain any Waxwear™ fabric, you can also take your bag to the dry cleaners. To extend the life of your bag we recommend you spray it with ScotchGard to protect against stains and fading. Do not machine wash; it can fade the fabrics. Also, be careful of canvas rubbing on new denim; it may pick up the color. Please see additional information below regarding how to treat bags with WAXWEAR™ fabric.
Waxwear™ is a highly specialized textile that precludes normal cleaning. Just as you wouldn’t wash fabric upholstery or a leather product such as shoes, gloves, or jackets, you won’t be able to wash or dry clean your Waxwear™. Wax fabrics have been successfully used for many years without washing.
To be completely satisfied with the performance of your Waxwear™, there are several important issues to remember:

TRY cold water first with a slight brushing or scrubbing.

USE a little bar soap or flaked soap or Saddle soap, only if necessary, on specific areas only.

Sometimes a small amount of ammonia will help.

NEVER use detergent liquid or powdered.

NEVER dry clean as the powerful chlorinated solvents will remove the finish.

SPARINGLY apply a waxed cotton refinishing ointment using a little heat from a hair dryer.

DON’T baby your Waxwear™ use it often!

When will my order be shipped?
Carrie Dunham strives to process orders as quickly as possibly. Orders placed Monday through Friday are usually shipped within 48 hours, although during periods of high volume, it may take longer. Orders placed over the weekend are usually shipped the following Monday. If you need your product/s to ship the same day that you place the order, please use an expedited service and we’ll be sure to ship as soon as possible so that you get your merchandise in time. Please note that if an item is on backorder, we will note this and list the approximate shipping date.
When will my order be delivered?
Orders that are successfully processed are shipped via USPS Ground unless an expedited USPS service is chosen. USPS Ground guarantees delivery within five business days to many places in the U.S. but may take as long as 8 to 12 days
Do you ship to Post Office Boxes?
Sorry, but we do not ship to Post Office Boxes.
How can I track my order?
Once an order has been shipped, the email address you submitted will receive an email with tracking information. Please be sure to check your “Junk Email Folder” if you have not yet received an email confirmation. Please feel free to add Carrie Dunham to your ‘safe list’
What if I’d like to change my order after it’s been placed?
Once an order is placed, it is processed immediately in order to expedite delivery and cannot be changed. If you’d like to add items to your order, please call 646.263.3768 and we’ll try to assist you with that request.
Can I ship to an address that’s different from my billing address?
Absolutely. When you set up your account online, you will have the option to enter a separate shipping address and save addresses for future shipments.
